The lack of water is also harmful due as it may lead to food craving even when you are not hungry. Therefore it is advised to drink at least eight to nine glasses of water. If you want to add more variations in your liquid intake, add fruits like lemon, strawberry that improves taste of the water. Water is also an excellent agent to get rid of toxic waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements.
Avoid sun exposure- On an extremely hot and humid day, confine yourself to indoor spaces much as you can. The hottest part of the day in a country like India typically lasts between 11 am and 4 pm. If there is a need to venture out, use an umbrella to prevent direct exposure in sunlight.
Choose fresh juices over packaged beverages- Few can resist the temptation to get a bottle of cola and other sweetened carbonated water beverages to quench their thirst. But they are detrimental to health as these packed drinks are bereft of nutrients and packed with sugar. Therefore, it is advised to drink natural fruit juices instead. Some of the popular choices are lemon juice, sugarcane juice, pineapple juice and many more.
Maintain good hygiene- As the climate cycle moves from the colder months to the humid days, the transition to hygienic practices is equally important. During the summer months the germs thrive and lead to diseases like seasonal flu, gastroenteritis, jaundice, typhoid, skin rashes, and food poisoning. Therefore, to maintain your health comprehensively, it is essential to take a daily bath, clean the food to be eaten, wash the hands with soap and avoid eating out much as possible.
