Chemotherapy
In general, Chemotherapy cancer treatment refers to the treatment of tumors with chemical preparations. Chemotherapy, in conjunction with surgery and radiotherapy, forms one of the main methods of treating tumors. Chemotherapy is prescribed strictly in accordance with the type of tumor, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient.
When is chemotherapy used?
For some types of tumors, chemotherapy is the only possible method of treatment. Some cancer tumors require the simultaneous or sequential use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy while other types may require chemotherapy sessions before and after surgery.
The duration of the course, as well as the frequency of its use, is determined by a chemotherapy program, individually designed taking into account the patient’s condition. We offer comprehensive medical oncology services at our department for patients of various cancer treatment level.
