Dr. Santosh Raut Kurmi is a young and dynamic clinician who brings with him rich experience of more than 7 years in the field of Haemato Oncology & BMT.
He completed his MBBS, MD (Internal Medicine) from B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal in the year 2013. His pursuit of knowledge and interest in Haemato Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant led him to do a Fellowship in Haemato Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) at the prestigious Medanta - The Medicity Hospital, Gurgaon, Haryana (2014 to 2016). Before joining this institute, he has worked at the prestigious Artemis Hospital, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, Haryana since January 2017.
His areas of expertise include Haemato Oncology (Benign & Malignant Haematology), and Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant. He has a special interest in Acute Leukemia, Aplastic Anemia, Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Multiple Sclerosis, and Systemic Sclerosis. He was actively involved in setting up the Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Program at the Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, Haryana.
He has published many papers in Indian and International Journals to his acclaim and has also participated and won accolades in many National and International Conferences. He holds to his credit a vast experience of more than 500 Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplants (BMT/HSCT - Autologous, Allogenic, Match Unrelated Donor, Haploidentical) including the most complex and rarest transplants in his kitty. He was involved in the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant of Multiple Sclerosis, Systemic Sclerosis, Polymyositis which was done for the first time in India. He is a member of Indian Society of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (ISHBT).
