Dr Ashu Consul did his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, one of the premier institutes in New Delhi. He then did his MS (Orthopaedics) from Central Institute of Orthopaedics VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Following this, he worked as Senior Registrar in Orthopaedics at Safdarjung Hospital for three years. He has been trained by some of the leading Orthopaedics experts in Safdarjung Hospital for seven years, post which he has done a fellowship in Arthroscopy & Sports Injury from Sports Injury Center, New Delhi. Dr. Consul has vast experience of more than 21 years in the field of Orthopaedics & has done more than 10,000 successful surgeries including more than 3,000 Arthroscopy & Joint Replacements. His key interest areas are Keyhole surgery for joints (Arthroscopy), Minimally Invasive Joint Replacement, Hand surgery, Primary and Complex neglected Trauma, and Ilizarov Technique. He has published many articles in National & International journals and presented numerous papers in Orthopaedic meetings. He has taught many young aspirants at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, New Delhi and at the same time, took viva and presentations of graduate and postgraduate students from some of the major medical colleges in Delhi-NCR.
